What's The Deal With Bulletproof Coffee?

What's The Deal With Bulletproof Coffee?:

'via Blog this'

Whether you’ve heard of it, read about it or maybe even tried it, Bulletproof coffee is all the rage lately. But why has adding butter to coffee become the new cream and sugar?
Dave Asprey, the creator of the small company Bulletproof Coffee that popularized the concoction of coffee, butter and MCT oil, claims the high-fat diet can lead to weight loss. Other supporters say it gives you an extra energy boost, helps you avoid the afternoon crash and keeps you mentally focused. Yet skeptics point out concerns with the high amount of saturated fat and number of calories.
We wanted to get the inside scoop from our readers who have tried Bulletproof coffee. What does it actually taste like? How does it make you feel? Check out their comments below.
“Using grass-fed butter is the biggest rule to follow ... If you use quality ingredients and blend it up, it's sort of like a latte!” --Trish Tonn

“It tastes greasy and leaves a slimy aftertaste in the mouth. The oil just floats and kills the coffee aroma.” --Laeticia Gonsalves
“I add turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cacao butter and cacao powder.” --Lynette Cano-Aguirre

"This is for low-carb diets. It will be a health problem if you consume high fat with high carbs. Do your research before doing this."
--MJ Weispfenning
“My granny used to do this to tea or coffee 40+ years ago. Only it was REAL butter, cream style.” --Jeffery Lowers

“Use a blender on high speed for about 10 seconds. It will be smooth and frothy, no oil slick.” --Catherine Mischeefa Muslimah
“Still prefer my coffee black and from a French press or a pour over.”
--Karen Nordquist Dorofee

"Love it! Helps me with intermittent fasting. Not hungry until lunch. Clear head." --Mike Allen
"Sometimes my stomach is a bit weak in the mornings, so when it is, I up the coconut oil and lower the butter ratio." --Janelle Tavener
